THE DEKOVEN CENTER VISION

Rooted in its deep historic connection to the Episcopal Church, the DeKoven Center’s object is to provide space within our historical facility for peaceful living, education, spiritual growth, and joyous celebration, as well as charitable purposes which support the public good.
— DeKoven Center

Set along Lake Michigan’s bluffs in Racine, Wisconsin, The DeKoven Center’s 11-acre campus is a unique and versatile setting offering nationally-recognized architectural treasures, gorgeous gardens, serene wooded areas and distinctive spaces — ideal for everything from personal reflection to community celebration. Visitors from across the country and around the world are drawn to DeKoven by its peaceful atmosphere and historic charm. Whether they come in search of respite, enlightenment or community, guests feel at home here, often returning year-after-year. The DeKoven staff strives to provide each person the best experience possible.

Originally the site of Racine College starting in the  1850s, the quadrangle of American Gothic buildings now features a full-service retreat and conference center (Taylor Hall) where people of all interests and faiths come to renew spirit, mind, and body. The DeKoven Center offers two reception halls with lakefront views (Great Hall and Assembly Hall) for weddings and events. The beautifully-appointed St. John’s Chapel is ready for ceremonies and services. Numerous picturesque outdoor locations are also available for ceremonies.

All are invited to come and immerse themselves in all that is The DeKoven Center.
